Christmas Book Review! ~ Christmas Travelers, by Wally White

I was honored to be contacted by Wally to do a review of his new book, Christmas Travelers. With the Holidays quickly approaching, this book is the great way to get into the holiday spirit and spend the day cuddled up with a cup of hot apple cider and a great story. This is a book I could not put down until I read it cover to cover!  Wally’s background in the movie industry shows in his writing style, as I was reading this book, I felt like I was watching a movie rather than reading a book. His style of writing is perfectly descriptive to really engulf your mind in the story.

“Wally White is a screenwriter, actor and singer living in Las Angeles, CA. Growing up in the small town of Eden, NC, Christmas was one of his favorite times of the year. It brought along with it traditions and gatherings with family and friends. It was a festive time filled with love, laughter, full day shopping trips, and lots of homemade southern cooking. CHRISTMAS TRAVELERS marks his debut as an author.”

To put the icing on top of this already delicious cake;  Della Reese, who plays Tess on "Touched by an Angel," wrote the Foreward of Christmas Travelers and is also the inspiration of one of the main characters.

“The first Christmas started with travelers stopping short of their intended destination. The same can be said about this story.
When six strangers meet on a flight from Phoenix to Newark on December 24, they have little in common – a young , expectant couple; an elderly lady; a single father and his daughter; and a businesswoman. They’re all headed to different places for different reasons, but before Christmas Eve turns to Christmas Day, all their plans go awry.”
When they finally stop trying to make the holiday what they think it should be and accept this one what it is, these travelers share and experience that will define what Christmas means to them for the rest of their lives.”

The anticipation of the six travelers journey as it develops and their paths intertwine, was wonderful. This story is a sweet lesson we all tend to forget during the hustle and bustle of our busy lives. It’s a reminder of what the true meaning of Christmas is. This festive book took me on a journey myself as I realized, through Wally’s words of wisdom, that Christmas does not have to be the exact same each year to still be the magical Christmas we all know and love. This lesson came to me at the perfect time in my life as I was feeling the holidays blues knowing that this year will be the first year my family will not all be together for the holidays. It was a great read to bring me out of my blues and get me excited for the most wonderful time of the year. I highly recommend this easy read and guarantee that once you begin reading it, it will captivate you and you too will not be able to put it down!

I thank Wally White for his wonderful Christmas book and hope that he will have many more to come.
